Schools
Working hard to design programs to meet the needs of the individual student is the essence and goal of our school system in Moore County. We have twenty-one public schools, including eleven elementary schools, five middle schools, four high schools and one year-round school. Fine private and parochial education is also available. We are especially proud to have Sandhills Community College in our area - the first community college in the State of North Carolina. The school offers one-year vocational and diploma programs, two-year associate degrees and facilitates four-year degrees through a partnership with St. Andrews College, including a college transfer program. Continuing Education serves more than 11,000 residents countywide with an ever expanding selection of classes.
